In 2004, shipments of Chinese Drywall were shipped to the United States because of low supply. The drywall was used in almost all homes built that year. Homes containing Chinese Drywall may be considered to harm the inhabitants' health, and the property looses nearly all of its value.
Insurance companies are not willing to repair these homes, nor are the government. Innocent people and families are normally incapable of gutting the entire house, and repairing it. Although, they had no control over the installation of the drywall, there is a ton of stress being placed on these people.
The government should step up for letting these harmful toxins into the homes of our citizens by repairing these houses.
We, the undersigned, call on the government to repair the houses contaminates with Chinese Drywall. The citizens had no control over the damage of their homes, and most cannot do anything about it.
Due to the stress that has been placed upon those people, the threats this causes to their health, and the loss of one of their most valuable possessions, the government should take responsibility and pay for the damage done.
