Whoopi Goldberg needs to be removed from television. Her remarks made about the young 13 year old girl and Roman Polanski are the last straw. Here are her comments from Tuesday Sept 29, 2009 on The View:

I know it wasn’t rape-rape… All I’m trying to get you to understand, is when we’re talking about what someone did, and what they were charged with, we have to say what it actually was not what we think it was…
Initially he was charged with rape, and then he pled guilty to having sex with a minor, okay. And then he went to jail, and when they let him out, he said “you know what, this guy’s going to give me a hundred years in jail, I’m not staying.” And that’s why he left…
We’re a different kind of society. We see things differently. The world sees 13 year olds and 14 year olds in the rest of Europe… not everybody agrees with the way we see things…”
Polanski sodomized a 13 year old girl and then ran from his jail term and Ms. Goldberg is defending him. She even when so far as to say it was consensual and the girl's mother is at fault not Roman Polanski.

We the undersigned are asking ABC for the removal of Whoopi Goldberg from The View. Her endorsement for child abuse is appalling. Whoopi, on one of your network shows, says that if Roman Polanski sodomized a 13 year old girl in Europe , or another country, the outcome would have been different.
I was unaware that European countries condone raping and sodomizing a 13 year old girl. Defending a rapist who fled from his jail time is the last straw. Are these the views of ABC? This is not the first time Ms. Goldberg has been controversial, but it should be the last time.
