Bill O'Reilly has accused Shawn Hornbeck (a victim) of being complicit in his own torture, abuse and captivity. He actually said that he thought Shawn LIKED IT, and was having FUN. Mr. O'Reilly is to speak at the Naples, FL National Centers for Missing and Exploited Children conference in March.
Mr. O'Reilly's statements are not only untrue, but totally reprehensible. His exact words were "...And I think when it all comes down what's going to happen is there was an element here that this kid liked about his circumstances..." Mr. O'Reilly made this disgusting statement precisely to EXPLOIT the victim for ratings.
Mr. O'Reilly is scheduled to be the speaker at the March 9th fundraiser in Naples. Keep in mind, that this man was sued for sexually harassing a young subordinate. His actions portray him as someone who is NOT a role model for this organization, nor for child victims' rights.

Please replace Bill O'Reilly as your keynote speaker. I realize you extended your invitation to him before Shawn Hornbeck was found, but you should now have the courage to replace him since he has accused this poor boy (the victim) of being complicit in his own torture, abuse and captivity. He actually said that he thought Shawn LIKED IT, and was having FUN.
You people, as experts on the matters of missing and exploited children, should know that Mr. O'Reilly's statements are not only untrue, but totally reprehensible. Mr. O'Reilly made this disgusting statement precisely to EXPLOIT the victim for ratings.
If you are truly defenders of exploited children, you will replace Mr. O'Reilly as the speaker at your March 9th fundraiser in Naples.
