My family and I along with our 4yr old Maltese/Terrier live in the Monrovia foothills which is a little lower than the base of the Mountains. Over the summer we heard a grunting or growl and my Maltese took off under the bed and stayed we looked out on the patio of our Condominium located on foothill/Mountain anyway we have a tree right in front of the Condo patio and a bear climbed the tree got onto the upstairs Condo patio Knocking things over foraging for food.
Police came with bean bag gun and ran him back up into the mountains he came back a second time for food fruit or whatever they have these trees with this odd looking fruit or looks like an Avocado or something but they love it the bears! and climbed on the roof of the condo second time currently we have the Coyotes coming down roaming the streets and alleys eating up our beloved pet cat's and dogs and leaving blood and carnage or half eaten carcases on the Monrovia residential streets.
My son was coming home from an evening out parking his car in parking garage and what does he see a Coyote puppy he saw the head lights and ran across the street into the night or oh yes it's a Coyote pack roaming the streets (4) of them and now a pup real dangerous situation for us humans! she has to feed her litter so whether on 2 legs or 4 legs were on the food chain!
We the Undersigned call on Monrovia City Hall Wildlife/Animal Control Unit to recruit a team of trained trappers to patrol the alleyways and streets of the local residential Neighborhoods of Monrovia trapping these wild coyotes and relocating them and their pups back into the foothill mountains! And stock food for these 4 legged predators in the mountain areas such as whatever animal /bird that is food for them and is overpopulated or numerous.
Maybe if you put food up there in mountain areas for them they wont be so quick to come down from the mountains feeding on our beloved pets it's dangerous to walk down the street with my dog while concerned folks stating pick up your dog those Coyotes will come and snatch your small dog right off the leash pick it up in your arms!
