Background (Preamble):
Road rage is a serious problem in this country. We have all made foolish and/or inadvertent reckless moves while driving, causing another vehicle or vehicles to perhaps make a dangerous adjustment to this.
If only there were a way to communicate "I'm sorry - that was dumb of me!" Let's adopt a simple gesture - the back of your hand against your forehead. If this could be a universal "I'm sorry" gesture, it could calm a great deal of anger and perhaps lower incidents of road rage.
Don't you think it's worth a try?

We, the undersigned, agree that a gesture which represents an apology for a foolish driving mistake might indeed lower incidents of road rage in this country.
We will remember to use this gesture - the back of the hand against the forehead - whenever necessary, and will pass along the idea to our friends and family.
