The increase in water supply to the Hickory Grove Water System through the proposed construction of the two (2) new water wells which would enable the water system to meet average and peak demand situations.
We, the petitioners, hereby request a special meeting of the Hickory Grove Water System in order to determine if two new wells have been constructed and as proposed by the Red River Police Jury and if so, will the two new wells produce 100-gpm which should enable this water system to meet average and peak demand situations and to discontinue conservation requirements.
If no two wells have been constructed what are the future plans of the Hickory Grove Water System Board? The members of the water system would also like to know if there is a deadline or date that LCDBG grant,number 615294, must be used or spent by?
Also we request to know if the board of directors desires or plans to purchase water from the Fairview-Union Water System and if this is desired what is necessary to accomplish the purchase of water and can or will the grant money be used to do this? The water system members would also like to know how much of this grant has already been spent and to whom or how it was spent.
