The European Court has ruled that keeping the DNA of unconvicted persons is against a person's civil rights, but many UK police authorities continue to do so.
WHY DO THEY WANT MY DNA ?
WHY IS THERE NO INFORMATION SAYING HOW MANY "CRIMES" HAVE BEEN SOLVED USING ILLEGALLY STORED DNA ?
We, the undersigned, petition that Kent Police Authority request that the Chief Constable of Kent destroy all DNA, fingerprints, and photograph samples taken from innocent people, i.e. people that have been arrested but have not been found guilty in a court of law, and that Kent police Authority request that Kent police no longer take DNA samples on arrest but only when a person is charged.
