The manner in which the London Olympic Games Organising Committee has allocated tickets for the 2012 Games has led to hundreds of thousands of UK residents failing to get tickets for a once in a lifetime Olympics in their home country.

Many of the tickets have been given to holiday companies that plan to sell them in expensive packages, £3,000 on average, that ordinary people cannot afford.

The majority of tickets were sold in a lottery in which some people with a lot of money 'gambled' and succeeded in getting more tickets than they needed, while others got no tickets at all.

This petition calls upon LOCOG to declare the original Olympic tickets sales void, and to re-sell the Olympic tickets in a first come first served manner, but in such a way that each household is limited in the number of tickets it can buy.

More details about how this might be achieved can be found at HubPages, Davidwork, "Re-sell the London 2012 Olympic Tickets".
