On January 27th, 2012, I was sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch with my friends. A teacher came up to me and told me to go show my vice principal my shirt. The shirt that I was wearing read "All the cool girls are lesbians." Obediently, I went to see my vice principal.

He also agreed that the shirt was "inappropriate". When I asked why, I was told because it was related to "politics." I was told to leave the cafe immediately and go get my jacket. How is the word lesbian inappropriate ? I'm not just going to sit back and take this. This act precisely exemplifies homophobia.

Homosexuality is NOT inappropriate. The word lesbian does NOT mean sex. This is censorship! It is also 2012 and Massachusetts is supposedly one of the most gay friendly states in the country.

We, the undersigned, request that you stop the discriminating and censoring that has occurred in the explained incident.
