When in 1960 Warragamba Dam was opened, many families visited for picnics and to walk across the wall of the Dam and visit the many areas of the Dam opened to the public.
In 1998 the Dam was closed for public access for upgrades and maintenance, once finished a timeline was given that review of public access would be made in late 2012.
It's now 2014 and we request that this review be made public and access to the Dam finalised.
The boost to tourism and the financial benefits for not only the local community but Wollondilly and Western Sydney would be great.
We the undersigned request Warragamba Dam wall be reopened for public access.
