Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Both of these constitutional are broken when a family is prosecuted for polygamy.
We, the undersigned, Call on the united states government to strike down bigamy laws. They are unconstitutional and promote a message of hate towards american citizens.
Consenting adults should have the right to their own lifestyle choice. We are not asking for marriage licenses just decriminalization for consenting adults.
