High School participation in Clay Target Shooting in the state of Minnesota has significantly grown in the past 10 years. With nearly all area schools participating in the MSHSCTL, this growth has presented a need for an active and well functioning Trap Range in the Prinsburg area. Archery is also a recreational activity that continues to grow at a rapid rate.
PASC, an active group of individuals in the Prinsburg area, endeavors to build a range to meet the needs for Trap Shooting and Archery Target Shooting for student atheletes of the Central MN Christian School, other area teams and recreational shooters.
As conversations and propositions continue, our desire is to gauge the interest and gain support for this valuable necessity for our youth shooting program and recreational users alike.
Plans for a range are fluid at this time but would likely consist of (at least) 2 Trap Shooting Fields and an accommodating building. Three (3) outdoor shooting lanes and Targets for Archery will also be entertained.
We, the undersigned, support the vision for pursuit of a Trap Range for the purpose of facilitating local area high school trap teams and recreational shooting. Likewise, we, the undersigned, would support the fundraising efforts of PASC for the construction of aforementioned field and facilities and encourage area school boards, administrators, city councils and county officials to partner with and support,where lawful, in the approval of its construction.
