Very brief POWER OUTAGE on and nearby Manhattan Avenue on Wednesday July 16, 2008

Some time in the early morning hours of July 16, 2008 there was a very brief power outage that affected residents on and nearby Manhattan Avenue in Fulton, NY. This brief outage caused many residents to wake up late due to the interruption of service and alarm clocks not "going off" at the time that they were programmed to do so.
Unfortunately, due to the power outage, some of our neighbors were late for work due to their alarm clocks not "going off" and received serious reprimands from their employers.
Please be aware that by signing this statement you are simply stating that you also experienced said power outage on said date.
Also be aware that:
THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT AGAINST NATIONAL GRID.
After speaking with a representative from National Grid about the problems that this outage caused some of our neighbors, they suggested we attempt to determine how many nearby residents and neighbors were in fact affected by that power outage on Wednesday, July 16th.
If enough residents on or near Manhattan Avenue experienced this power outage, the representative from National Grid stated that they may consider offering a written verification that there was a power outage in our neighborhood on that day. In addition, they offered to send it to anyone's employer (who wishes to have one sent) in hopes to rectify those who were reprimanded for being late for work on that day.
AGAIN, BY SIGNING THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY STATING THAT YOU DID, IN FACT EXPERIENCE A BRIEF POWER OUTAGE ON JULY 16, 2008 AND ARE IN NO WAY MAKING ANY TYPE OF COMPLAINT AGAINST NATIONAL GRID.
