Cat's need their claws. It is forbidden in many Countries. Why not in the United States? Declawing your cat traditionally involves the amputation of the last bone of EACH toe. If performed on a human, it would be like cutting off each finger at the last knuckle.

Behaviorally, it can lead to problems much worse than shredding the corner of your couch, including becoming a biter as they no longer have the use of their nails for defense. Medical effects after declawing your cat can also include pain, infection, tissue necrosis, back pain and lameness.

Please show your support, for the banning of cat declaws, by signing my petition. It's the humane thing to do.

Thank you!

We, the undersigned, call on Congress to take action in the banning of surgically declawing cats.
