Airsoft is a modern combat sport or a recreational hobby in which participants eliminate opponents in a skirmish or military simulation by hitting each other with projectile BB's or plastic spherical pellets from a gun that is powered by gas, spring load or an electrically powered gearbox.
Externally an airsoft gun replicates a real gun but was never considered as a firearm because of the fact that it does not require fire and gun powder to cause combustion to shoot projectiles out of it's barrel.
