Petition for Magical Girl Luigi to Become Canon

At the date of 05/04/2014, Tumblr user and artist, tmcbm, posted a critique of the playable character choices in the recent Mario Kart 8 in the form of 4 satiric despictions of Mario characters in alternate forms (http://tmcb.tumblr.com/post/84695924033/nintendos-taste-in-character-rosters-is).

And, among them, was a caricature simply and descriptively called "Magical Girl Luigi", showing Mario's infamous brother, Luigi, in typical "Mahou Shoujo" attire, as seen in the likes of Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

We find that this is a legitimate good step in character design for Nintendo, as, not only is it avant garde to have someone identifying as a man wearing traditionally "girly" outfits, especially for such a "behind the times" company as Nintendo is, but it also opens up new directions to take the franchise in that were unavailable before and reaching out to a brand new demographic.

Signing this petition will allow it to be known that we, the public, gamers big and small, would welcome this addition with open arms into the Mario universe, as a fresh slate for new and exciting content.
