The residents of Berrien Street would like to see our street paved to not only straighten out how rough the street is but to maybe cut down the amount of speeding and atv traffic we have. The rough roads are and have over the years destroyed our vehicles.
I have spent hundreds trying to fix my truck and have considered seeking legal counsel to get it back from the county. The traffic is awful and constant. As there is a store at one end of the street. It goes and comes all hours of the day and night.
Even after it is scraped it's back in the same shape a day or two later. It either rains and traffic messes it up or atv's, 4x4 's or motorcycles virtually gets it unravelled in a few days. We call it washboard Avenue after it dries that's when it really starts beating your vehicle to pieces.
In conclusion and all fairness to the people of Berrien Street located in the city of Jesup in the county of Wayne, GA, we would like to request that our street be paved.
We feel that we are just as deserving as the next and thank the county of Wayne and its commissioners for your consideration.
