Sergeant Danny Nightingale was convicted of possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition, he was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment in an army detainment centre, 106000 people signed a petition to free him.this sentence has since been reduced to 12 months and suspended.
We believe this was a face saving exercise by the MOD and we believe Sergeant Danny Nightingale should have all charges overturned .
We the undersigned, call on the MOD to formally overturn all charges bought against Sergeant Danny
Nightingale.
We also call upon the MOD to issue a full public apology for the way this matter was dealt with.
