After almost 2 1/2 years of working together on a plan for the Osprey Revitalization area, On Feb. 9th, 2009, The Osprey Revitalization Committee Voted unanimously to support the Osprey Village Development Company LLC's plan for the area.
On February 19th, 2009, the Osprey Village Development Company LLC went before the Sarasota Planning Commission to get approval on a proposed land use amendment, re-zone petition 07-06 and a special exception #1476 that would make this project possible.
THE SARASOTA COUNTY PLANNING BOARD VOTED UNANIMOUSLY TO APPROVE ALL 3 PETITIONS.
We the undersigned, support the approval of petition No. 07-06, which would allow for the development of a 5.45 acre site within the Osprey Revitalization Area into an upscale hotel, waterfront restaurant and upscale retail shops.
Furthermore, we support the plan which was presented to the Osprey Revitalization Committee, as well as the Sarasota planning commission (both of which voted unanimously to approve the project) by the Osprey Village Development Co. on Feb. 9th, 2009 and Feb. 19th respectively.
It is still imperative that the community continue to show it's support and let the Board of County Commissioners know of your support.
