Protect Long Beach Organics Collective for Cannabis Patients from prosecution

Background (Preamble):
Long Beach Organics Collective for cannabis patients [or LBO], located at 851A Pine Ave just outside Downtown Long Beach, has over 3,000 current and valid medical marijuana patients that utilize its’ services regularly for medical marijuana, marijuana products, information pertaining to cannabis and legal resources/referrals.
LBO services on average over one-hundred members a day, accommodating thousands of diverse patients; supplying a financially flexible, variety of medical marijuana options and non-smoking selection; our volunteers are constantly educated regarding the medicines we offer, providing pharmacist-type services so that patient members are ensured the most appropriate medicines for treating their symptoms. Many members of Long Beach Organics have verbalized repeatedly that no other collective/co-op caters [completely] to their individual medical and/or financial needs, making LBO their only option for obtaining medical cannabis goods.
The City of Long Beach has a medical marijuana community that is very strong with it’s patients and it’s general public; the votes have shown Long Beach voters are not only accepting of medical marijuana but actually 79% of them are in favor of medical marijuana. The collectives of Long Beach service many patients traveling from nearby communities as well; patients travel to Long Beach to acquire medicines due to affordability or there simply aren’t any cannabis providers in their residing city, forcing patients to travel outside their city to acquire cannabis.
Long Beach Organics services nearly every one of our communities’ Medical Marijuana patients along with numerous neighboring cities’ patients making the facility highly depended upon by thousands of patients inside and outside of the City of Long Beach.

Petition:
Members of Long Beach Organics Collective for cannabis patients, and other concerned local citizens, demand the Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley and Prosecutor Tom Reeves refrain from attempting to charge or prosecute any of the collectives' facility operators/volunteers for providing to verified patient-members: medical marijuana, non-smoking marijuana alternatives and information pertaining to marijuana/marijuana legal resources.
