We are proud Gladiators who feel oppressed by the uniform strictness. We are not against the uniform policy; we just believe that each individual has the right to wear their uniform in the way that may please them.
The fact that skinny pants hooded jackets or sweat shirts are not tolerated in the school is an absolutely unfair situation. Our parents, in such a hard economical situation are having issues purchasing such things as logos for each of our shirts, Dockers, and Dickies pant. Fact is parents have already purchased their child’s uniforms we had not been informed of this policy at head of time.
Why should we have our clothes fitted to their standards. Student uniforms have no direct effect on substance use, behavioral problems or attendance problems. We demand more from our school. Taking time away from learning to check are uniform is not necessary.
Please sign this petition to try and get rid of the strictness in the school uniform policy.
We are willing to compromise with are administration.
Change is necessary but we most all come into agreement.
