Opening of Recreational Hemp Shop

The town would greatly benefit from the opening of a Recreational Marijuana shop being opened within city limits. By working directly and closely with a potential owner of said shop the city could make a large amount of commerce, tourism, and potential funding from state legislatures. The tax revenue, which may go to the county, would show a vast gain in influence over future involvement with the Linn County Courts and potential expansion within the town. Working directly with the owner of the shop specific guidelines can be placed to ensure that crime and the local populace isn't negatively affected by the increase in potential criminal activity. The city of Gates has had it's own shop open for over a year now and that towns overall budget has flourished without destroying the good name and good people within it. Being the only town within the great distance between Salem and Gates off Highway 22 with a shop gives way to local farmers to choose to either produce marijuana for their local towns benefit instead of outreach to further locations than right in their home town.
