Thank you for your support. The council felt it was unsafe for the children to hold the meet at cutt's close this year but it will still be taking place at the council office car park.

Oakham Town Council has banned the Boxing Day hunt this year in Cutts Close. An event that hundreds attend and take part in, an event that brings our community together and helps us celebrate the festive period.
This is a tradition that Oakham has taken part in for over a 100 years.
I'm asking that we the people of Rutland come together to show the Oakham Town Council that this is something we want and enjoy!
I'm hoping if we get enough signatures we can convince them to change their mind and let the hunt go ahead on Boxing Day like it has for the last 100 years.
