Our school is currently in the consultation process with parents, staff, and the local village community to assess the views of all in the event of school closure.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, call on Mr. Lionel Grundy, the cabinet minister for Wiltshire Schools; in the interests of the children and parents, staff of the school, and the whole village community; to keep Chirton Primary School open.
This school, for many, is the hub of the village and has a long history of successful pupils.
The small size of the school is a benefit which most parents recognise as an excellent opportunity for individual learning.
