Each business day before 6am, the apartment shuttle to the Metro starts and the driver revs the shuttle's engine for some minutes before leaving. The tailpipe is mere 4 yards from building, spewing out diesel fumes.

This petition comes after having contacted EOS-21 Residential Services and Haymarket Transportation at (703) 856-7069, whose spokesperson says that EOS-21 never contacted them about our concerns of noise and toxic fumes.

We the undersigned live at 200 South Van Dorn Street at EOS-21 Apartments.

We request that the shuttle be parked, when not in use, away from any of the apartment buildings. There are mostly unused parking places far left or right of the entrances off of S. Van Dorn Street to the EOS-21 complex away from the buildings. As a minimum, the bus driver should stop warming up the engine each morning near the building but quietly dive away.

Whereas it has already been requested by a resident without any change or even response, the following signatures allow the EOS-21 management to understand that the unnecessary noise disturbs residents' sleep for those who live on the North side of the building, causing a sleep disturbance and spewing out toxic fumes very near to master bedrooms on the North Side of the building.
