IMVU has recently implemented a faulty system known as Peer Review. For those of you not familiar with the specifics of this system or missed the messages from IMVU regarding this I direct you to GaurdianRobs explanation.

However there are many bugs within this system and many concerns from the peers to be reviewing the items. We ask that IMVU acknowledge these concerns and give us, the customers and developers the chance to offer alternatives and / or the means to make this system work.

Currently there is no training prior to being able to peer review and the category requirements are based on opinion rather than solid guidelines. There is no requirement for someone engaged in Peer Review to demonstrate their understanding of the VGCP. Without this in pace Peer Review can not perform as expected.

The current MCG is not reliable for this system to work. With the current MCG anyone using Peer review to rate an item is left to interpret wither or not it fits IMVU's Virtual good policy and Mature content policy and if it has been properly rated. The current minimum coverage guideline is not yet definitive. Currently it is subject to interpretation which you can see in the mature content policy link above.

Currently the process takes somewhere between 2 minutes and weeks. Some developers have yet to get their stickers through peer review. We are paying for them prior to submitting, yet we, and our customers have to wait until the votes reach %70 percent in one favor or Customer service has the time to look over it.

Notice: The petition will be added to as I am given more information from fellow petitioner's. I am trying to come up with the most complete list of suggestions and alternative to present to IMVU.

Below are some suggestions to apply to Peer review or alternatives to the system currently in place.

-IMVU should either hire staff who are trained in the VGCP to review products or ensure that those who do Peer Review voluntarily are familiar with the VGCP.

*Testing of some kind must be done to ensure that reviewers are reviewing properly and not just to personal opinion.

-Reviewers should be required to have an AP or be Age Verified. As AP items being submitted as GA is the reasoning behind Peer review.

-There needs to be a way for multiple people to view a product at the same time to facilitate review for rooms and furniture, especially those that contain poses.

-There needs to be a way for reviewers to turn down products that are suspect to copyright or are copy written.

*Perhaps there should be a check mark and a field to enter in the information regarding the copyright or suspected copyright infringement so that the submitter can obtain rights to submit, remove the product, or add copyright info that shows that they have the right to submit said product.

-Developers that do not participate in Peer review should not be penalized via Tier.

-People who do peer review should be offered something to compensate for their time. In a manner not related to their tier.

-The current MCG skins need to be updated without Anti aliasing. We need a definitive border so there is no room for error.

-The process for Peer review needs to be sped up. You could have a couple dedicated in cs to approve and still save money. With other people helping the amount of items that will have to go through Customer service will be minimal after the initial launch. If your following the recommendations above of insuring the reviewers are familiar with the rules behind doing peer review you will likely need to set only one or two people to this task.

*This process should have a pre-set time limit with a turnaround of around 24-48 hours. The que needs to send older items to the top rather than in a random order to insure this isn't a problem.
