DO NOT CONDEMN VAUXHALL TO BECOME MANHATTAN
Planning Permission is being sought to build a 42 storey Tower on the Bondway site.
We the undersigned Oppose the granting of Planning Permission Because;
• SERIOUS IMPACT ON MICROCLIMATE
This Tower will create a HUGE SHADOW and create a WIND TUNNEL effect.
• SERIOUS INCREASE IN NOISE
The Tower will AMPLIFY already High Levels of NOISE in Vauxhall from Aircraft, Railway, Road Traffic etc.
• SERIOUS IMPACT ON EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE
Transport, Parking etc are already OVERLOADED. Additional 1000 people will put pressure on Transport Links and local amenities such as Vauxhall Park.
• LOSS OF VAUXHALLS HERITAGE
Proposes DEMOLITION of one of Vauxhalls few Heritage buildings. Creates PRECEDENT for more Towers. We are NOT Opposed to DEVELOPMENT Per Se. Only that falls outside the Lambeth SDP Plan and that DOES NOT have a serious Impact on Local Communities and Eco Systems.
