The draft Planning Proposal for the new Burwood Comprehensive Local Environment Plan proposes an increase in the Floor Space Ratio( bulk of a building to its land) from FSR 0.55:1 to 0.6:1. This has the potential to reduce green space, create bulkier buildings and have overshadowing and overlooking impacts on neighbours.
Burwood currently has the second smallest open space provisions per head in NSW.
We the undersigned object to the Planning Proposal to increase the FSR for R3 zone (townhouses) in the draft Burwood Local Environment Plan from 0.55:1 to 0:6:1.
We believe that this has the potential to reduce green space, create bulkier buildings and have overshadowing and overlooking impacts on neighbours.
We ask council to maintain the FSR of 0.55:1 as was previously publically exhibited.
