Management at MMU are proposing to cut 85% of the pracitical element from the Hospitality Management course.

This will result in the loss of 22 jobs. Consultation on this change will last for only one month, the legal minimum.

We the undersigned are opposed to Managements Proposals:-

• To remove through Course revisions 85% of the current practical provision on the Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate Hospitality Syllabus;

• To reduce the level of hands on experience which will be detrimental to the student experience at MMU;

• To make redundant the 22 Technical Staff.

We call on Management:-

• To review their current position;

• To enter into meaningful discussions with UNISON;

• To commit to a policy of No Compulsory Redundancies.
