A better Christmas for kids in foster care!

Social workers are heartless when it comes to providing access to kids in foster care. They can deny access out of spite, put down the visit as canceled, or refuse visits. Kids won't get to see Santa, or participate in the festivities at Christmas. Instead they might get to see their natural parents in a prison type of building, a secluded area , or at a Ministry office.

When social workers act in disregard towards parents, and are unwilling to facilitate access, it harms these kids. They do abuse their power, and they get a way with it because they are not held accountable. Clearly kids deserve better than access once per week to their natural parents.

Kids are traumatized enough, by being placed in foster care and it is going to be unfair to traumatize them further. The Child Community Services Act says children are entitled to be protected from harm. I belive that includes the social workers' conduct. Why aren't these kids being protected from the provisions of access?
