No Casino Markham

Markham Council Member Jim Jones, Don Hamilton, Colin Campbell are seeking public input for markham business entertainment centre with convention centre, 5 stars hotel, exhibition hall, performing art centre, arena and a gaming resort commonly known as casino estimated $1.5-3B investment.

Markham is a family community and everything we do in the public domain should be focused on making the City a great place to live and raise a family and casino does not further towards this agenda.

1. Per CanWest Foundation Gambling report 2005, there is approximately 468,000 or 6.5% at risk & problem gambler out of 7.2 million adult in Ontario

Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill voted NO to casino. Markham voted NO to casino twice. Markham voted NO to casino twice and shall vote NO once and for all.
