Basically, the uniform at Harry Carlton is not good. It is dull, grey and boring. And to be honest the p.e. kit looks smarter than the uniform!
Everyone agrees!
The uniform:
-baggy grey polo shirt with label (makes everyone look rough and tired)
-black trousers (fair enough)
-black skirts (fair enough)
-no tailored shorts (actually they are more modest. you don't have marilyn monroe moments and when you bend down you are not exposed to the world)
-black school jumper with label (not warm, makes EVERYONE look frumpy and fat. even if someone is tooth pick thin they look fat. and this does not help with self asteme issues)
-no black tops (they make the uniform look smarter)
-no extremes of fashion (this means anything! nail varnish, why...it doesnt harm anyone! makeup...fair enough nothing too extreme but i need some. and hair, why cant i do what i like, who is it really harming?)
-no traniers (the only smart bit of the dress code)
so basically we all end up looking like ugly, frumpy, fat clones. i dont want to be another clone. are they sending out the real messages? arent they telling us that we should all be the same? well thats not right! so i ask you, even if you arent a student of Harry Carloton Comprehension Nottinghamshire.

Our school uniform is ridiculous!
-baggy ugly labeled grey polo neck, uncomfortable, cold top that everyone is cold in.
-black ugly marshmellow look a like jumper that makes skinny people look obese, it doesn't help keep you warm.
-black trousers, fair enough.
-skirts optional. fair enough.
-no tailored shorts, WHY?? they are more comfortable, modest and nicer to wear then skirts...and people cant pull them up.
-no extremes of fashion, an excuse to pick on any student for anything.
-no traniers. fair enough.
So the petition is asking that we can change the uniform to just being given colours like they do at other schools with loose modesty guidelines.
