Support a National Debt Relief Act

Target: Senator Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein of California
Region: United States of America
Web site: http://www.californiadefault.org
Background (Preamble):
Largest Foreclosure and Economic catastrophe in the United States since the Great Depression.
Petition:
We the undersigned are concerned about the increasing impact on the economy from foreclosures.
Americans obviously need to re-establish their financial reserves; optional relief on their biggest expenses would encourage savings plans for families currently living paycheck to paycheck.
The American people have the authority to issue a ‘National Debt Relief Act’ (similar to the Emergency Banking Relief Act of 1933 during the Great Depression) thus permitting all interest charges to be frozen for a period of ninety days, postponing all mortgages, automobile and credit card payments.
Anything credit related could be considered forbearance and rolled to the end of the term for all those who desperately need this option.
