As a fan of this film series, this is a step in apologizing for the behavior of members of this group, and celebrate the work that they did in the film franchise. There are other positives to this as well for SNL. First, Kelly Marie Tran career portfolio includes time at the comedy website Collegehumor.com, so she has had comedy training. There have been a multitude of writers hired from the website. Next, after the Trump and Kim Jong Un meet up this summer, SNL would be able to Mrs. Tran depict the North Korean dictator to continue the trend of well crafted political satire. Finally, there has only been a select number of Asian host, and this is an opportunity for the continuation in a host diversity. Dear Mr. Michaels, we the undersigned submit to you a request to allow the actress Kelly Marie Tran host your show, Saturday Night Live, in this upcoming season. We understand this isn't the first petition for a requested individual to host SNL, but we appeal to you for this request to enable the Star Wars community to apologize for several months harassment to Mrs. Tran on her social media accounts. This is also an opportunity to rebuff a community that has a history of placing the product above the people involved and forgot that these are human beings as well. We believe your show can best showcase our apology and appropriately mock the community for recent reprehensible actions. To quote a princess from a long time ago, and a galaxy far, far away, "Help us Mr. Michaels. You're our only hope." Thank you for your time with this request, and we appreciate any assistance with successfully making this petition a reality.
