The imminent departure of 3 key middle school teachers has caused significant widespread concern amongst many Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy parents. We would like to move the board and reinforce the absolute imperativeness of recruiting the right candidates for the recently vacated positions of Science Teacher, Math Teacher and Language Arts teacher. As these are all important high school subjects/credits, we want to ensure that extensive and extenuating measures are taken in recruiting the perfect candidates with previous high school teaching experience, for these positions.
We need your help in collecting as many e-signatures as possible to present to the school board and impress upon them the importance of adopting stringent recruitment processes and making the right choices for all these positions. The next board meeting is on May 29, at which time we hope to present this petition and the signatures we collect. In addition, your presence that day will also play an important role, so please plan on attending this important meeting.

We, the undersigned concerned parents of current MRSA students, call on the board to :
1. Conduct a wide and rigorous search to attract the best candidates for the multiple open positions. Explore all options to attract most viable candidates, including word of mouth canvassing by the entire school community.
2.Nominate a sub-committee wth adequate parent and teacher representation to ensure stringent hiring.
3. To minimize extreme transition by multiple new hires, explore the possibility of maintaining the part time status of the Math Teacher, Ms Pieper.
