Since drug testing has now become a routine part of the application for many jobs and to purchase life insurance, it seems reasonable that people who wish to purchase firearms should have to prove that they are not using drugs.
The U.S. citizenry would be safer if we could be assured that those with weapons were not using illicit substances.
We, the undersigned, call on Congress and President Obama, to enact and enforce a law which would require those who wish to purchase firearms to pass a drug test.
