We have already had an incident of one of the members of our Church being hit by a driver not obeying the speed limit. It was dark, and the driver did not see her crossing the street from our Church parking lot to our Church. However he was going well over the 35 MPH speed limit. Thankfully, she recovered.
When we went to our State Representative about the incident, we were basically told, "when there have been 4 or 5 more deaths, then come back and talk to us."
Why should we have to wait until that happens?
We are requesting from PennDOT, that we get a stop sign, or even some flashing cautionary lights with a sign stating "pedestrian crossing SLOW DOWN!" installed in the Youngsburg Road area.
