Chalan Inda road is a dangerous thoroughfare. There are blind spots caused by the 90-degree turns, there is the ascent/descent of the road, and algae growth on the road caused by the dense jungle overgrowth are contributing factors to normal hazards. Along with this is the increased amount of traffic due to the build-up of this area. When it rains it compounds the danger of this road.
There is a serious accident waiting to happen here. Let us call attention to it now before a fatality occurs. Immediate placement of speed bumps on these two areas ( approximately 100 feet from the entrance and 500 feet from the entrance) and additional parabolic mirrors placed strategically in the blind spots can ensure safe travel.
Speed limit signs throughout the road and metal curve retainers at the turns will further ensure motorists' safety.
We the undersigned petition the local mayor's office and the government of Guam to construct speed bumps, traffic markings, curve retainers and institute all other necessary measures to make Chalan Inda safe.
