Location - New Byford shopping center with Coles, Priceline pharmacy, Coffee Club, Bakers delight and numerous specialty stores.
- Parents with prams parking and senior citizen parking are the only bays not covered with a sunshade. These two groups of people are the ones most susceptible to being effected by heat when getting back into a hot car.
- Area in front of car parking bays is not user friendly and dips down into a ditch with shrubs and trees. This would be a great place for a footpath as currently pedestrians are forced to walk on the road, including persons in wheel chairs, parents with prams and young children.
-Bumpy Non slip flooring at both entrances to Coles is placed in a very large section which jolts trolleys and prams for an excessive length of time. Any parent with a new born baby does not want their child being shaken up as this can cause major problems. Walking across this area with a pram or trolley is likened to forcibly shaking an infant or toddler.
We the undersigned local community of Byford and surrounds call upon Center management to;
- Place shade cloth above parents with prams and senior citizen parking bays.
- Concrete pathways to be placed in between two facing car bays for pedestrian use.
- Non slip bumpy flooring at Coles entrances to be reduced to a smaller section to minimise impact for parents with prams and kids in trolleys.
