It has come to our attention that Portarlington Golf Club is seeking to annex a portion of Tower Road, Portarlington, to incorporate it into their property.
This would deny access to other users of the road, including the many cyclists who use this road as a safe and sheltered alternative to Hood Road or the Esplanade.
We, the undersigned, urge the Council of the City of Greater Geelong, to maintain the whole length of Tower Road, Portarlington, as a public thoroughfare, able to be used by all.
The Portarlington Pedal Group opposes declaring a portion of this road as the private property of a sectional interest.
