The street homeless population in new york city is increasing, 47% from last year. We need solutions right away on homelessness, shelters, affordable housing.
Why can't shelter residents get the same amount of shelter allowance for a regular affordable housing apartment unit, and it's less then what they pay for each individual in the shelter system?
We the minorities call on the nys housing finance agency,nyc department of housing preservation & development, to rectify the annual price range on newly constructed affordable apartments for rent, which are suppose to be for the minorities, but they are not affordable for the minorities.
The total annual income range is 30,000 and up. No one on minimum wage can afford the annual income to qualify for the newly constructed affordable housing that mayor bloomberg funded.
