Lower Gas/Diesel Fuel Prices |

Category: Consumer Affairs
Region: United States of America
Target: American Citizens
Description/History:
In July of 2003, I purchased a truck that uses diesel fuel. Fuel at that time was approximately $1.65 per gallon and significantly below the cost of a gallon of gasoline.
Today, at my local fuel stop, diesel fuel is $4.15 per gallon. Unleaded gasoline is at $3.56 per gallon. Petroleum companies are bringing in record profits while we, the consumers, are taking the hit financially.
I can only imagine what those who are making the minimum wage are thinking when they go to the gas pumps.

Petition:
We, the undersigned, call upon the President of the United States, both present and future, and members of Congress, who represent the people, to design and incorporate a plan to stop the daily increase of fuel prices and reduce the prices to a more affordable amount.
