Given the often difficult history of our own nation, we understand that Iraq's transition into a republic is a long and difficult process.
The People of Iraq could use a message of encouragement and support, directly from the Citizens of the United States of America.

To the Citizens of the Republic of Iraq,
We, the undersigned People of the United States of America, wish to extend to you this message of hope and support for your efforts.
As you struggle to cast off permanently the yoke of tyranny and oppression, to create a nation that is secure in its borders, build a government that is responsive to its citizens, intolerant of corrupt practices and accountable to you, the citizens of Iraq, for its actions, WE SUPPORT YOU.
As you practice the art of governance in your towns, cities, and provinces, we are willing to assist you.
As you develop your system of justice, we will support you.
As you rebuild and open schools to teach your children we will applaud you, and stand ready to help in all areas of concern.
Where we can, we will provide the tools and knowledge so that you may individually and as a people, stand up once more, a proud and sovereign Iraq.
