The environmental effects of quarrying primarily include:
the disturbance of land and vegetation, the disturbance of river beds or coastal marine areas, dust in the air, vibration both over air and underground, more noise,
more commercial traffic, Nature visual effects, impact on cultural and historic heritage values, the discharge of contaminants into air, water, land and the coastal marine area.
STOP Rogers Group from rezoning approximately 350 acres along Kenny Nelson and East Collins Road to increase their operations. They will destroy our local quiet neighbourhoods with their rude drivers and their daily operations which include and are not limited to; blowing up the ground with their powerful dinomites shaking the ground of our properties,possibly ruining our foundation. Ruining our local environments and mother nature with big rock man made mountains, Polluting the air that YOU and I breath, increasing debris all over the streets with their loose gravel flying off their trucks, etc. SIGN this petition to send to our representative Don Nelson.
November 1, at the Rogers Group will tour the facility and a demonstration blast is scheduled for 1pm
