With California facing the worst budget deficit in generations, Assemblyman Tom Ammiano today introduced a bill to tax and regulate marijuana like alcohol. Will you support his common sense plan by writing to your local paper today?

Marijuana is California's number one cash crop worth multiple billions each year. Assemblyman Ammiano's bill would regulate that market like beer, wine and liquor while barring access to those under 21.

Annual revenues from fees and excise taxes could be in the billions, and we'll save another billion a year that we now spend on marijuana prohibition.Taxes could be used to offer free college tuition to all students.Students with a college educations get better paying jobs , stay out of trouble and pay a lot more taxes.
