Euthanasia can be summarized as painlessly ending the life of a patient who for one reason or another wants to be killed (more than likely they have a terminal, or incurable disease).
Passive euthanasia can be defined as not taking steps that could save the patients' life.
Active euthanasia can be summarized as taking steps to end a patients life, this is usually done by injecting medication.
