Six years ago Leeds United reached the semi-finals of the Champion's League and finished forth in the Premiership.
Now they find themselves in the third flight of English football in financial turmoil.
The 15 point penalty which will cripple the team this season has nothing to do with the actions of the players on the field or the fans in the stands.
The people who suffer most are the thousands who have stayed loyal to their home team week after week.
Whatever team you support, punishing the fans and the players for the mistakes of the administrators is clearly not good for the game.
We, the undersigned, urge the Football League to withdraw the 15 point penalty in the interests of good sportsmanship.
