Leave our dogs alone in Jamestown NY

The city council members of Jamestown, NY has changed the city codes and are attempting to do an unfair census of dogs. They want to try to force people who have had their dogs, many for a long time, to get rid of them. They want to limit the number of dogs you can own, even if you are caring for them in a responsible manner. This code was passed , apparently back in February and the residents were only informed at the end of March that the census would begin April 1st.

The Humane society in the city is not prepared to take these pets and they are going to be euthenized. Many people will move out of the city and maybe even this state if this is actually enforced. The only thing they should be allowed to do is enforce the licensing of pets and not be able to force us to get rid of our dogs. The fact is that Mr. Paul Whitford D-Ward 6, has actually had the nerve to say they have no other options.

Here is a link to the article found in the Post Journal about their new law. I'm not any professional by any means but , I'm disabled and I still care for my dogs in the right way. I'll be looking to relocate if they enforce this and I'd like to see how many people are going to allow them into their homes and if they don't, what exactly will happen then?
