Background (Preamble):
We are a support group of suffering people and children from all over the world who were prescribed topical steroids for various skin conditions and got addicted, without any warning of the high addiction rate of using topical steroids after using for 2 weeks.
Dr. Marvin Rapaport, Beverly Hills, California, has studied and documented this in the UCLA Dermatology reports and has treated over 2000 patients for mild to severe addiction covering parts of, or the whole body with painful steroid withdrawals.
He has successfully guided these patients through the hellish, burning, oozing, itching and depression withdrawal process that takes anywhere from 6 months to 3 years. Dr. Fukuya of Japan has also documented the same results and published them in Japanese Dermatology reports.
Dr. Rapaport concurs that topical steroids exacerbate eczema that would have normally cleared by adolescence, but now has cause thousands of all age adults to suffer from steroid addiction, NOT chronic eczema as many doctors call it.
You can read our stories, see horrific pictures from our group, and read Dr. Rapaport's and Dr. Fukuya's detailed articles describing the details of steroid creme addiction and withdrawals, at these websites, the last one from Japan:

Petition:
We passionately call on The European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR)- The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD)- American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and The FDA (Food and Drug Administration to recognize this as a very real and widely growing health and social problem.
We call on them to make it mandatory for warning labels of potential serious addiction, to be attached to ALL topical steroids, whether prescription or over-the-counter.
We also call on them to stop the prescription of dangerous topical steroids to children under 18 and find safer non-addictive alternatives for skin issues.
