Thanks to everyone who signed the petiton. We will have P.E. 5 days a week at Burden next year.
The decision has been made to cut back the P.E. program at Burden Elementary to 3 days a week instead of 5. This was based on oversized PE classes, space to put the kids during bad weather, & budget cuts.
The students will receive ten additional minutes added on to their recess for a total of 30 minutes. Two days a week the only physical activities the students will receive is 30 minutes of recess (if they decide to run around and play.)
We, the citizens of Liberty Hill, encourage our School Administration to reconsider the decision to decrease P.E. to 3 days a week.
We want our children to participate in P.E. 5 days a week at Burden Elementary.
